Assaf Cohen has over 25 years of experience in the design and creative industries. He leads highly creative and technical projects from concept to delivery, combining emerging technologies with a unique blend of creative vision and strategic thinking to exceed client goals and captivate audiences. Assaf is known for his distinctive approach to motion graphics, ranging from crafting impactful marketing videos and building motion systems and brands to elevating user experiences through visual journeys that enhance product engagement. He has been teaching from 2006, drawing from his past experiences as a design entrepreneur to both inspire and empower fresh ideas amongst his students.

Leading the product creative team, I bring long-term product vision to life through video, while continuously enhancing the user experience in close collaboration with all product designers. Working alongside product and engineering, I translate strategic thinking into compelling visual journeys, micro-animations, and feature concepts. My work includes visualizing product features for PRDs and presentations, crafting motion toolkits and animated spot illustrations, and producing short videos and GIFs for tour points, UI moments, and banners. I work closely with the marketing and brand teams to create high-impact videos as part of campaigns, events, and content for our logged-out websites, as well as walkthroughs and explainers, ensuring our product is presented in the clearest and most compelling way.

Responsible for CoFounding Promotheus subsidiary company that specializes in smart video content for brands, from developing the concept, building the strategy and a new methodology that places the company in today’s marketing needs, rethinking the use of video automation technologies and video workflows for brands, in charge for its branding and its applications.

Co-Founder, Public School, Tel-Aviv

Creating show packages, channel identities and TV spots for clients such as MTV, Conde Nast and Lord & Taylor as well as designing for cultural institutions such as the Jerusalem Season of Culture and the Petach-Tikva Museum of Art. At the same time, pursing self initiated work as part of Public School Editions.

Founder and Co-Owner of Public School Editions, Tel Aviv

Started as a non-profit project making public recording of music shows that were not published as part of organized labels or events with limited exposure to the public for the sake of preserving them in a sustainable format. Later on Public School became a blog that documented forgotten books about design, art and architecture.
In 2013 Public School Editions was officially founded as a small publishing house, designing, researching, editing and publishing books about past and current cultural movements in Israel, and collaborating with different research entities, such as the Israel Architecture Archive.
Have participated in the NY art book fair in September 2013, the LA art book fair in January 2014 and the Offprint Paris art book fair in November 2014.

Conceiving and producing work focused on branding, identity and package design for television, websites and print for clients such as MTV and Conde Nast.

Senior Art Director, MTV On-Air Design, New York

Designing and producing projects such as MTV channel redesigns, packaging a new channel (MTV Hits), and making show packages for various programs in MTV. Job responsibilities included coming up with the concept and executing it from beginning to end. Skills required included design, animation, directing shoots, working with editors, overseeing score production, art directing other designers, and basically doing anything that is required to bring a project to successful completion.
